Stiperstones Inn - Re-opening!
At the time of writing it looks like the Inn will be able to reopen on Monday 12th April.
All outdoor gatherings at this point will be subject to social distancing rules which currently limits us to a maximum of 6 people or 2 households per table.
We will be able to serve both food and drink in the beer garden, but orders will be limited to table service only, this means you must order, eat & drink whilst seated. Until lockdown rules are relaxed further all customers including children must remain at their table for the duration of your visit. (Apart from bathroom breaks of course)
Sharp eyed shop visitors will have seen that there has been some rather drastic remodelling of the beer garden over the last few weeks. The old grass beer garden really struggled last year with the amount of traffic on it in wet weather and so this year we have taken the opportunity to transform it into an all weather surface (although at the time of writing it does look a little more like a huge fishpond than a beer garden!). Opening hours will be:
Sunday -Thursday 11:30 - 10:00
Friday - Saturday 11:30 - 11:00
The government have not set a curfew for beer garden sales, but due to the English climate in Spring we may close earlier than this on some days if we are empty after 8:30pm.
We are endeavouring to create an outdoor space with some protection from both the wind and the rain, however a 2 hour beer garden visit should probably be treated as a mini camping adventure, the sun might be shining when you leave the house, but you will need to come prepared for inclemency - layering is definitely your friend here. We will be happy to refill hot water bottles or microwave heat pads for you, but we won’t be able to hand out blankets so we recommend that those who are climatically challenged bring their own.
We are currently taking bookings for the beer garden from April 12th. We usually allow up to 2 hours for each booking, but obviously you are welcome to extend your visit as long as there is availability.
We will of course still be offering food all day everyday and take aways are always available.
Hopefully we will have an update about opening for indoor dining from the 17th May.
